Research Summary

A fundamental challenge for high-performance computing is to obtain high-level, architecture- independent algorithms that efficiently execute on general-purpose parallel machines. David Bader's research establishes a framework for designing and evaluating such algorithms coupled with experimental validation. His research interests are in the areas of high-performance and scalable parallel computing as well as in experimental parallel algorithmics for applications in computational biology, genomics, and national security.
